Founded software/consulting company developing mathematical modelling tools for complex non-linear problems based on Neural Networks. Grew RIS to 1M GBP turnover and 12 staff before acquisition by Cognos Inc of Canada in April 1997. Responsible for all technical direction and development activity. Board member and founder. Conducted consulting engagements for clients alongside software development role.

Equity Derivative Developer at S G Warburg — Jun-1990 – Jan-1994
I was a developer on the new-fangled Equity Derivative desk for S G Warburg based in the City of London. My job was to write pricing and risk calculators for derivatives, especially options, swaps and futures. This was an emerging feature of the equity market at the time.

My first Engineering job out of University. I was a developer working on Fixed Interest trading and settlement software being sold into most financial institutions around at the time
